Fisher's Produce: Weblog Entry
Hello Friends!
The adventures of the last five months in the DR Congo are now memories and we are back in Oklahoma as of last week. It might feel like winter outside, but our seed greenhouse is full of sprouting plants! We are busy preparing our gardens for planting as well as training our little farmer in the making. :)
CSA season is around the corner! Registration is now open. You can sign up here or go to the CSA tab on our website.
We are excited about offering a wide variety of fresh produce for your tables this year! We’re expanding our berry repertoire and are planting cantaloupe and watermelons as well as our regular array of vegetables.
We look forward to serving you this year!

ALFN Local Food Club: Market Reminder!
What better way to show you care for someone, than by preparing them a delicious meal? And the best way to guarentee that meal is truly delicious, is to use fresh, fantastic, locally grown ingredients! So whether the love of your life is your spouse, child, best friend, or dog, take a look around The Market and you’re bound to find a few of their favorite things. Be it spicy vegan stir-fry with broccoli, snow peas, and shiitakes, or slow-roasted bufflo brisket with turnip gratin, or even simple scrambled eggs with sausage, there really is no better way to express your devotion and gratitude. Especially if you also do the dishes.
For those of you who prefer something you can put a bow on, don’t forget to browse the Gift Baskets & Sets catagory for an abundance of great giftables. But make sure you get your order in before The Market closes at noon, or you’ll be stuck spending your Friday night in a long line for mass-produced chocolates and pink teddy bears.

My Daily Bread Whole Grains Bakery
My Daily Bread Whole Grains Bakery is nestled in the North Georgia Mountains, and was founded by the Wills Family in 2001.
In an effort to eat a healthier diet, our family baked with whole grains for many years. In sharing with friends and also at Christian retreats where we served, people expressed a need for a whole grains bakery and My Daily Bread was created. It is our mission to help people with dietary restrictions to eat healthy, nutrient filled baked goods.
EVERY loaf of bread is made just as we make it for our own table.
All of our breads are made with freshly ground organic Non-GMO wheat that is not stripped of the valuable vitamins and fiber. We use local honey in all our yeast breads. We use no preservatives, dyes or artificial flavorings. Our jams and jellies are produced from pesticide free and organic produce, most of which, is grown on our own farm and picked at the peak of its flavor. We use only small amounts of pure cane sugar and also make a low sugar product for restricted diets.
My Daily Bread has Valentine’s Day covered for you with Rich Dark Chocolate Zucchini Bread made with organic zucchini, rich dark bittersweet chocolate and then made even richer with the addition of decadent German Chocolate Cacao chips. In 1 lb for great gift giving or the 1.5 pound for the table.
And for our Gluten sensitive customers, we have our Awesome Gluten-Free Brownies. They are so good, I like them BETTER than the regular ones! 8 generous brownies in each package.
ON SALE THIS WEEK FOR “MY DAILY BREAD”
Sourdough Loaf – sale price $ 6.50
Blackberry Jam – sale price $ 5.00
Our blackberry jam is made form blackberries grown on our farm that has had no pesticides for over 25 years. We pick the berries and make them in single batches like my Grandmother taught us. Less sugar makes the flavor the the berries the star!
